• Who We Are

The Chinese Meteorological Society (CMS) was founded in 1924 by KAO Lu, JIANG Bingran, CHU Kochen and others in Qingdao, Shandong Province. It is one of the earliest national natural science societies established in China, with a mission of advancing meteorological sciences and developing weather observations.

The CMS is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). It now boasts nearly 150 institutional members and over 43,000 individual members.
